Tondli Bhat is a special Maharashtrian rice preparation that is perked up with some crispy sautéed ivy gourd and a delectable spice blend. This dish is flavoured with a unique spice blend which is prepared by grinding cloves, cinnamon, sesame seeds, dry coconut as well as coriander, cumin and caraway seeds. The chopped ivy gourd and rice are sautéed in oil along with some whole spices and condiments, before the unique spice blend is stirred in as the ingredients are cooked. Tondli Bhat is finally garnished with some grated coconut and chopped coriander and ready to be served.
