Puffed Rice Flatbread

Tandalyacha Purya are delectably spiced puffed rice flatbreads that perfectly complement a coconut-based curry or vegetable dish. Popularly consumed in the Malvan-Konkan-Goan regions, these fluffy breads are made of a rice flour dough that has been mildly spiced with powdered fenugreek, fennel, cumin and coriander. After deep-frying flattened bits of dough, Tandalyacha Purya acquires a crisp texture on the outside with a soft texture on the inside.
