Sudharas is a traditional Maharashtrian sweet syrup preparation that utilizes lemon juice, sugar, water, cardamom/cinnamon/clove powder and fresh/dry fruits of your choice. You can add the finely chopped fruits when the syrup preparation is still warm, but be careful to not boil them for too long or the fruits will get mushy. Sudharas is usually consumed with pooris (unleavened deep-fried bread) or chapatis (unleavened flatbreads), but is also delicious when consumed directly with a spoon!
