Puranache Dinda are steamed wheat flour parcels with a sweet stuffing of mashed Bengal gram, specially made on Nag Panchami - this simple preparation does not require one to cut or chop anything. The mashed stuffing is flavoured with powdered cardamom, nutmeg, cloves as well as some turmeric. Serve Puranache Dinda hot with a large dollop of clarified butter.
