Chickpea Flour and Fresh Coconut Sweet Fudge

Puran Pak are sliced bits of a confection made using soaked split chickpeas, fresh coconut, khoya (milk solids) and sugar/jaggery. The gram dal is ground into a fine paste and cooked with an equal amount of freshly grated coconut and some khoya and flavoured with some cardamom powder. The mixture is poured into a tall sided plate greased with clarified butter and allowed to cool a little, before it is sliced into smaller bits.
