Nachaniche Satva is a delicious Goan pudding-like preparation of finger millets which is known for its health benefits. Finger millet extract, coconut milk and jaggery syrup are cooked on a low flame in a thick bottomed pan and stirred frequently. Once the mixture starts thickening, stir in the dry fruits and nuts of your choice along with some cardamom powder and salt. The contents are transferred to a flat-bottomed plate greased with clarified butter and allowed to cool. The thick pudding-like Nachaniche Satva is then cut into small pieces.
