Green Pea Patties

Matar Patis are special vegetarian fritters made of mashed green peas, onions, garlic and chickpea flour. Finely chopped dried herbs and some salt can be stirred into the mixture according to one’s taste. The mashed mixture is scooped into balls and flattened into the shape of a patty and subsequently baked or shallow-fried. Matar Patis can be served with tomato ketchup and a variety of dipping sauces.
