Mahadya is a traditional side dish made of onions, peanut powder, coriander leaves and a variety of spices and condiments. Originating from the Satara region of Maharashtra, this piquant dish is flavoured with kanda lasun masala, red chilli powder, cumin, mustard and asafoetida. Mahadya is a versatile dish which can be consumed as a meal-time accompaniment, a chutney or even as an evening snack!
