Kulathachi Pithala is a simple Konkani-style mildly spiced curry preparation of horse-gram flour that is usually served with steamed rice and bhakris (coarse Indian flatbreads). This curry is flavoured with some common kitchen spices and condiments such as garlic, curry leaves, green chillies, salt and turmeric powder. Kulathachi Pithala is further perked up with some fresh coconut, onions and kokum petals. Regulate water added to get the desired consistency. Once well-cooked, stir in lots of finely chopped coriander leaves.
