Karvandacha Kayras is a sweet, sour and spicy relish made of dry-roasted deseeded karonda fruit, sweetener of choice, black salt, garam masala and some red chilli powder. This piquant side dish is commonly paired with parathas and certain other flatbreads. The Karvanda is another example of an antioxidant rich seasonal berry.
