Onion Chutney

Kandyachi Chutney is a delicious accompaniment that is prepared by blending chopped onions, peanuts, mint leaves, coriander leaves, thick tamarind paste, chopped ginger, thick jaggery, cumin seed powder, salt and chilli powder into a thick paste and then mixing in a seasoning of tempered spices. Turmeric powder, mustard seeds and asafoetida are commonly used for the seasoning. Kandyachi Chutney is simple to prepare and perfectly complements a traditional Maharashtrian meal.
