Green Cucumber Sweet Cakes

Kakdiche Sandan are traditional Maharashtrian steamed sweet cakes made of green cucumbers, grated coconut, clarified butter, jaggery and semolina. As green cucumbers are abundantly available in the monsoon months, Kakdiche Sandan are commonly prepared then. These sweet cakes are further perked up with some dry fruits (optional) and cardamom powder.
