Jwarichi Bhakri are wholesome flatbreads made of a sorghum flour dough that have a coarse texture after they are cooked. Many Maharashtrian households include millet-based flatbreads into their staple diet as they are rich in iron, fibre and protein and a few trace minerals. These flatbreads are commonly served with a variety of pithalas (cooked mash of Bengal gram flour) and thechas (spiced paste-like condiments).
