Whole Wheat Confectionery

Gud-daani are traditional confectionery balls made using sun-dried wheat grains, jaggery and clarified butter. After the wheat is sun-dried, it is dry-roasted until it turns puffy and subsequently stirred into a syrup of jaggery and clarified butter. After it is allowed to cool for a while, the warm mixture is hand-rolled into small balls by using a little clarified butter. The delicious Gud-daani sweet-snacks are ready to serve.
