Danyachi Chutney is a staple in the Maharashtrian diet, prepared using peanuts, garlic cloves, cumin seeds, groundnut oil, salt and red chilli powder. This spicy, coarse paste is easy to prepare and can be consumed as an accompaniment with a wide variety of dishes. After the key ingredients are ground using a mortar and pestle, it can be made into a finer mixture by using a blender jar.
