दही बटाटा / Dahi Batata

This Dahi Batata preparation can be attempted without the use of any onion or garlic. Its uniqueness comes from the fresh, tangy flavour introduced by the curd. A tempering of cumin seeds, coriander powder, bay leaf, green chilli, ginger, turmeric and chilli powders is added to the whisked curds. Boiled and cubed potatoes are added to this mixture along with some garam masala and finally garnished with fresh coriander leaves. Dahi Batata can be served hot with jeera rice to form a quick and sumptuous meal!
