Tamarind Chutney

Chinchechi Chutney is a classic tamarind-based sweet and sour chutney that is commonly served with a variety of snacks and is essential to a range of chaat preparations (savoury appetizers that prominently feature in Indian street cuisine). Tamarind pulp is flavoured with jaggery, red chilli powder, cumin powder, chaat masala and rock salt in order to prepare this simple chutney. Regulate the amount of water added to get the desired consistency.
