Bharali Keli is a sweet and savoury preparation of the Rajali variety of bananas that are stuffed with coconut, chillies, jaggery, salt and sugar and subsequently roasted in clarified butter. First, the mixture is stuffed into the vertical slits made on the sides of the peeled bananas. The stuffed bananas are then cooked in clarified butter on a low heat until they are evenly browned. Bharali Keli are served hot or at room temperature.
