Bhadang is a traditional Kolhapuri dry mixture of thick puffed rice, roasted peanuts, crushed garlic and some common kitchen spices and condiments. A little sugar can be added to the tempered spices along with the puffed rice to balance the spice of the powdered red chillies. The Bhadang mixture is allowed to cool completely and is subsequently stored in an air-tight container.
