Besan ladoos are rolled with roasted gram flour, sugar, ghee (clarified butter), cardamoms and dry fruits. A favourite festival sweet, the well-made besan ladoo is not only richly textured and subtly flavoured but it also must ideally melt in the mouth! The besan ladoo is often a good test case for a chef’s skill at Maharashtrian cuisine!
