Batatyacha Kis is a dish prepared using shredded potatoes, roasted and crushed peanuts, finely chopped green chillies and an assortment of spices; commonly consumed during days of religious fasting or even as a breakfast/tea-time snack. Cumin seeds are tempered in clarified butter and the green chillies and potatoes are added with a sprinkle of salt, stirred properly and cooked on a medium flame. Once cooked, the peanuts are stirred in and the dish is finally garnished with lemon juice and finely chopped coriander leaves.
