Badam Halva is traditionally a South Indian pudding-like confection of blanched almonds, clarified butter and the sweetener of choice. This dense confection usually has a rich texture that is neither too soft nor too firm. Badam Halva can be further enriched by stirring in a hot solution of soaked saffron while the confection is being cooked. This dessert delicacy tastes best when served warm or at room temperature.
